You are on the edge of your couch, biting your nails, wide-eyed, as you anticipate for a six which will decide the fate of our men in blue. In times like these all you need to do is calm your nerves a bit and take a long sip of Sprite and tell your heart ‘Thand Rakh’.

Sprite has introduced a new advertising campaign named ‘Thand Rakh’ for the current ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. The campaign’s aim is to encourage cricket enthusiasts to remain cool during intense moments of the matches.

In a series of television commercials, a group of friends is depicted as engrossed in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. While one of them is busy with household chores, the others are glued to the TV, not wanting to miss a single ball.

As the game’s intensity increases, chaos erupts in the house. It’s at this crucial moment that one of them offers Sprite to the group. Tish Condeno, senior category director of sparkling flavors at Coca-Cola India, highlighted the campaign’s focus on embracing the unforgettable intensity of sports.

Sukesh Nayak, chief creative officer at Ogilvy India, stated that the campaign portrays cricket through the lens of real-life situations in a humorous way. It’s concise, engaging content that reinforces the idea that Sprite comes to the rescue when things get heated during the game.

Ritu Sharda, chief creative officer at Ogilvy India (North), explained that the films illustrate how the intense moments from a cricket match spill over into real life, using cricket-related words in different contexts, resulting in humorous situations. (Source: Campaign India)
