Week 42 BARC: Horlicks leads the brand list. HUL still continues to dominate the advertiser list.

Week 42 BARC: STAR Maa, is the leading channel across all genres. Sun TV and Star Plus in 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

According to TAM AdEx, Television saw 2,550 advertisers in September 2021. The new entrants in the top 10 categories are Ecom-Online Shopping, Chocolates, and Tea.

TRAI has moved to the Delhi High Court against the ‘excessive’ ads on the news channels. The regulatory body has received several letters from a lot of consumers who have complained about the viewing experience.

According to broadcasters, the interest of the viewers will be adversely affected if the 12 min ad cap rule is implemented. As smaller channels will be forced to shut which will bring down content options for the audience.

In 2021, almost 73,321 brands were digitally advertised compared to the 21467 brands in 2018, according to the TAM Media Research. There is a massive jump of over 300 per cent in the span of 3 years.

Facebook has been renamed as ‘Meta’. The name implies ‘metaverse’, which is an immersive universe that will help its audiences to connect and grow their businesses.
