Disney Star India has announced the launch of two Odia channels, named Star Kirano and Star Kirano HD which will air various programmes dedicated to Odia households. The channels will go on air on Jun 1, 2022. This will be a good opportunity for brands and advertisers to target regional audiences. 

Viacom18 on Apr 15 announced the launch of Sports12, which will be the dedicated sports broadcasting channel of the network. The pay-TV channel will be available in SD & HD, offering fans the best sports content in India. 

Shemaroo Entertainment has launched a new Hindi GEC named ‘Shemaroo Umang’. The channel aims to expand Shemaroo’s presence in the Indian broadcasting business, which will add to its existing FTA channels that is, Shemaroo MarathiBana and Shemaroo TV. 

The Animation, Visuals, Gaming & Comics sector requires more progressive and attractive content to retain and gain more followers and engagement. The government of India has planned to ensure fair search algorithms for consumers and sellers of the e-commerce companies, making it mandatory for the e-commerce platforms to show search results of various sellers rather than displaying only particular brands. This would offer a fair chance of growth for new brands in the market.
