Burger King uses mishaps to highlight the brand USP

The latest print campaign of Burger King called ‘Flame Grilled since 1954’ showcases photographs from incidents where Burger Chain outlets were aflame in Oregon and Pennsylvania in the United States and Italy. With these images they say the restaurants were torched due to the flame grilling.


Burger King has had the most number of fires when compared to other fast food chains. They used the negativity around these events to say that these events were only because they honestly ‘flame grilled’ all their burgers. News reports also added that no one was hurt badly in these fires which happened in 2004, 2015 and 2016.

A very interesting way to turn around all the negative publicity in their favour!
