  1. Times Group will be shutting the publication of its tabloid newspaper Mirror in Pune and relaunching Mumbai Mirror as weekly. 
  1. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has issued an advisory for the TV channels to follow the Advertising Standards Council of India’s (ASCI) guidelines regarding online gaming and fantasy sports. 
  1. Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) and the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA) released a new study conducted by Nielsen- The Trust in Advertising. According to which- 
  • TV (94%) was the most common medium for consumption of advertising, followed by digital (82%), print (77%), and radio (29%)
  • Advertising in the newspaper is the most trusted among others (86%), followed by that on TV (83%) and radio (83%). 
  • Among 70% of the respondents said they trust advertisements that are endorsed by celebrities. 
  1. Star & Disney India recently announced their ad solutions product- Sirius. Sirius is an end-to-end suite of advanced advertising solutions for marketers, media planners, and creative agencies.
  1. BARC India renames the term “Impressions” to “Average minute Audience”-  “AMA”. The calculation of AMA would remain the same as that of Impressions. 
  1. The advertising volume for the auto sector has increased by 36% during the festive season (1st Oct- 27th Nov) compared with the previous year. 
  1. Fever FM has emerged as the top radio station in terms of listenership share in Mumbai and Delhi for week 40-43. Radio City and Radio Mirchi were the top stations in Bangalore and Kolkata respectively: RAM Ratings.

  • Pay–   Sun TV, STAR Plus, STAR Maa, SONY SAB, Zee TV. 
  • Free– Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Sony Pal. Colors Rishtey, Dangal.
